My Family's Cattle Brand
My Dad, Freeman Edgar, was the Head Herdsman for the Patrick Burn's Ranches (Pat Burns was one of the "Big Four " that started the Calgary Stampede in 1912 ).
He was given the OX brand by the Burn's Family it goes back to 1882, making it one of the oldest in Canada.
Both my Dad and Brother used this brand, but they have passed , so we retired it.
I am very proud of my link to Canada's Cowboy Culture.
