My Family's Cattle Brand

My Dad, Freeman Edgar, was the Head Herdsman for the Patrick Burn's Ranches (Pat Burns was one of the "Big Four " that started the Calgary Stampede in 1912 ). He was given the OX brand by the Burn's Family it goes back to 1882, making it one of the oldest in Canada. Both my Dad and Brother used this brand, but they have passed , so we retired it. I am very proud of my link to Canada's Cowboy Culture.

Since February 7th 2012 l have been calling in my Bunkhouse Bulletin to the Jimmy Hughes & Jodi Morning Show, on Calgary's Classic Country AM 1060 on Mondays and Thursdays around 7 am."Bud is great " Jimmy Hughes, AM 1060
